Called here tonight as my bus NEVER arrived. The whole place was decorated for Haloween (best I have ever seen,it must have taken ages to set up) anyway the staff were very friendly and let me use the telephone to call a taxi.Cider was very nice too. If you are in the area its well worth calling in to see the Dec's.

Great Adult Only campsite behind the pub. Pitches are nice and level. Some grass and some hard standing. Most of the pitches have a water tap next to it. Nice new toilet and shower block with seperate disabled facilities. They also have a washing up area. New Wifi installed which is included in the price and works very well. If you don't feel like cooking food is served in the pub. As per previous reviews on arrival go to the pub (reception). Lots to do and see in the local area.

The owner does a super job of keeping a "traditional" pub. It smells like pubs used to - beer and wood polish- hmm πŸ€—πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Œ The food is delicious always and it's just lovely to hang out there

I came for the Sunday roast and it was delicious. I added a pudding as it was so tempting. Very clean and well laid out. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Staff very polite and was priced well. Definitely recommend here.

Very nice quiet site, no kids allowed, (was a bonus) πŸ™‚ toilet & showers were spotlessly clean! Little pub had very nice atmosphere, but limited menu, might be nice to have a breakfast menu for the campers β›ΊοΈπŸ˜‰ πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ but really can't fault anything! Enjoyed our stay while visiting family!!! 😍

Popped in for lunch on a weekday, quiet and easy to get a table. Food is prepared fairly quickly, bit disappointed with the burger I had as it had no flavour and I didn't ask for onion rings which were placed inside the burger bun, but my husband enjoyed his meal.

Pub & campsite located in Steeple Southminster. Great food in the pub at reasonable prices. Adult Only campsite at rear with very clean toilets & showers. Could be clearer on arrival where you go to check in as just says go to reception & not where it is (in the pub) There is WiFi in the pub but not in the campsite which is a shame as the 4g signal is poor.

I am a solo female traveller. There were no members of staff in the actual camp site so when you arrive you need to go into the pub and they tell you your pitch number. No other information was given to me upon arrival but a map was supplied which showed me where to find the facilities. I found an electrical hook up next to my pitch so I had no problem connecting up my van. The facilities themselves on site are excellent and the showers are really good. I had family visit me and we ate in the pub and this was very enjoyable.

Excellent clean adults only camping and caravan site at back of Inn. New shower block, hard and grass pitches, electric and water connection points. Will definitely be back in summer as field fa es South so great for sun bathing followed by a pub meal!
